Nora Toutain’s eclectic style is rooted in experiences, cultures and emotions, all channelled into the spirit of the moment. Her music combines soulful expression, contemporary pop energy and a strong instinct for improvisation.
Nora began developing her voice with Montreal’s Kalmunity Vibe Collective, where workshops and live collaboration helped her discover the art of musical improvisation. Filmmaker Feven Ghebremariam later selected her as the subject of the documentary De l’autre côté de sa voix, which premiered at the Montreal World Film Festival in 2013. Since then, Nora has built a distinctive place in Montreal’s underground soul and R&B scene.
