Biography
A life shaped by the guitar.
Born in 1974, Gabor Pogello discovered the guitar at eight when his uncle gave him a Spanish guitar. Recognising his talent, his parents enrolled him in music school the following year. His early classical training laid the foundation for a lifelong exploration of the instrument.
At eighteen, he entered the Béni Egressy Conservatory. Drawn to Latin jazz and Spanish music, he developed a personal style influenced by Paco de Lucía and Vicente Amigo. Performing with several Latin jazz ensembles, he became part of the club scene and built a reputation among fellow musicians.
He later spent nine years performing in hotels and at events throughout Europe. Alongside his stage work, he continued to refine his flamenco technique through masterclasses with Spanish guitarists, bringing greater virtuosity, sensitivity and depth to his playing.
“I still learn from the people surrounding me and the ones I have the honour of sharing the love for music with on stage.”
